Fortunately, it is highly unlikely that this information could be of use to identity thieves, but the man who discovered the flaw says that it could be used to clone users' phones. As a result of the report of the flaw, Verizon has begun a detailed review of their website security. That's good, but it should have been done before the website was deployed.
